Dr. Ginis was born and raised in Athens. After completing high school, he succeeded in the national university entrance examinations and was admitted to the Medical School of Patras, from which he graduated in 2005. He fulfilled his compulsory rural service in Evdilos, Ikaria, and later served in the military as a unit doctor in Lykofo, Evros, and a garrison doctor in Syros. In 2012–2013, he once again served in a rural post in Agnanta, Tzoumerka. In 2023, he completed his psychiatry residency at Sotiria Hospital in Athens. During his residency, he gained clinical experience in adult neurology at the 401 General Military Hospital, pediatric neurology at Penteli Children’s Hospital, and in addiction treatment at the “18 Ano” center. Since November 2022, he has been working as a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and acupuncturist at the Mental Health Center in Attiki Square.
From 2008 to the end of 2013, he immersed himself in traditional healing practices in the Amazon region of Peru. Motivated by a personal journey toward healing, he explored a range of treatments and later undertook training with traditional healers. This exposure introduced him to therapeutic paradigms markedly different from conventional Western medicine—particularly effective in addressing mental health challenges. He was deeply influenced by the way these healers engaged patients as active participants in their own healing process, addressing spiritual, mental, and physical aspects simultaneously while offering support as companions rather than authorities.
In 2012, he was first introduced to acupuncture, an encounter that sparked a deep and lasting interest. He began a systematic study of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which culminated in 2014 with a six-month training program in China. There, he undertook clinical practice in acupuncture under university professors at Tianjin University Hospital and observed Wang Ju-Yi’s clinic in Beijing, training in Applied Channel Theory. His studies continued in Greece and Europe through advanced seminars. Over time, he began practicing acupuncture, cupping therapy, and massage, while also offering lifestyle and dietary guidance rooted in the principles of Eastern Medicine and his Amazonian experiences. In early 2017, he was introduced to the Balance Method (BM) system by the late Dr. Tan through Delphine Armand and Paul Wang. Since then, he has practiced this diagnostic and treatment system exclusively and was certified in it in 2021.
Since 2009, he has also trained in Tai Chi Chuan (Chen style) and Qi Gong with George Pavlidis, focusing on practices that cultivate awareness and support physical well-being. Under the guidance of George Pavlidis and Anatoli Karamanidou, he practices the meditative and therapeutic Time Therapy, both individually and in groups. Since early 2024, he has been attending foundational training in the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic stress (PTSD, c-PTSD), under the supervision of Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. This layered psychotherapeutic work and training form the foundation and inspiration for his integrative healing approach, One Healing.
On a personal note, since 2015, he has shared his life with Tatiana Bre, and soon afterward, they welcomed their son into their family. His personal interests include Tai Chi, literature, sports, science, music, and dance.
