Dr Ioannis Dimitriou

Teaches: Theory, Diagnosis, Clinical Practice

Dr Ioannis Dimitriou is a physician, osteopath, and practitioner of Chinese Medicine with extensive academic and clinical training in Greece, China, and Europe. He studied Physiotherapy in Prague and Lamia, Chinese Medicine and Chinese language in Tianjin and Beijing, and later completed his medical degree at the University of Athens. He also holds a PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine, a Diploma in Medical Osteopathy, and an MSc in Mental Health Promotion and Prevention of Psychiatric Disorders.

Filip Manja

Filip Manja is a practitioner of Chinese Medicine with a strong academic and clinical background. He studied Chinese Language and Literature at the University of Belgrade and later completed a Bachelor’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine. He also received intensive training in Beijing under Master Duan Zhi Liang.

He combines solid theoretical training, international study experience, and many years of clinical work and teaching activity in Serbia.

Ricardo Valerio

Teaches: Theory, Basic Theory, Clinical Practice

Ricardo Valerio has been studying Chinese Medicine since 2000 in both Portugal and China. His training includes acupuncture, tuina, diagnostics, and Chinese language studies at major universities including Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. He also trained under Dr Wang Ju-Yi and is currently a PhD candidate at Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine.

He combines clinical work, teaching, and translation of classical Chinese medicine texts into Portuguese.

Maria Niconenko

Maria Niconenko is a physiotherapist with training in acupuncture and a growing clinical interest in the integration of rehabilitation with Chinese Medicine. Her professional profile reflects a practical and patient-centred approach, combining physiotherapy with complementary therapeutic methods.

She contributes to the programme through teaching and supports the connection between acupuncture theory and modern rehabilitation practice.

Mu Ge

Professor at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Teaches: Basic Theory, Clinical Practice in China

Mu Ge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Acupuncture from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Master’s degree in the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Tianjin University. She has taught at leading institutions including Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been recognised for her contribution to education in China and internationally.

She is also responsible for coordinating the official visit to Shandong University as part of the programme.

Jonathan Chang

Applied Channel Theory Institute Representative

Teaches: Applied Channel Theory, Clinical Practice in China

Jonathan Chang graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and trained extensively under Dr Wang Ju-Yi, serving as a full-time assistant at the Applied Channel Theory Research Center in Beijing. He has been officially recognised as an instructor in Applied Channel Theory and has contributed to key publications in the field.

Within the programme, he teaches Applied Channel Theory and supports the clinical and educational connection with China through the Beijing trip.

Theresa Moodie combines a background in Sports Science, Yoga, and acupuncture. Her work bridges movement, holistic health, and Chinese Medicine, with experience in teaching and practitioner development.

She contributes an international perspective, focusing on integrating traditional concepts with modern holistic practice.

Clinical Integration of Acupuncture in Healthcare

Giselle-Marie Muscat is a registered nurse with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from the University of Malta. She works in the Cardiology Department, providing specialised care in acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.

After completing her acupuncture training in Greece, she focuses on integrating acupuncture into modern clinical practice, combining evidence-based nursing with complementary therapies.

Dr Panagiotis Ginis

Advanced Balance Method Instructor

Dr Panagiotis Ginis is a physician, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and certified practitioner of Chinese Medicine with a broad integrative background. His training includes clinical psychiatry, acupuncture, Applied Channel Theory, Balance Method, and complementary therapeutic approaches developed through study in Greece, China, and abroad.

In the programme, he contributes specialised teaching in the Advanced Balance Method.

Dr Irini Dimitriou

Western Medical Approach to Acupuncture

Dr Irini Dimitriou is a physician specialising in General Practice with additional training in Chinese Medicine. Within the programme, she teaches the Western medical interpretation of acupuncture, helping healthcare professionals understand its mechanisms and clinical applications through the perspective of modern medicine.

Her contribution supports the scientific and interdisciplinary character of the course.

Professor Zhong Qiang-wei

Professor Zhong Qiang-wei graduated from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and built a distinguished academic career in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. With over 30 years of experience, he has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students and has focused on theory, diagnosis, and acupuncture in clinical and university settings.

Bartosz Chmielowski

Bartosz Chmielowski is a physician, experienced acupuncturist, teacher, and founder of Acuart. He has taught acupuncture across Europe and is known for his educational materials, publications, and projects related to evidence-based acupuncture, mechanisms, and safety.

Alberto Cantidio Ferreira

PT, MSc. TCM

Alberto Cantidio Ferreira is a physiotherapist from Brazil with postgraduate training in acupuncture at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. A former student of Shi Xue-min, he has trained and practised in several hospitals in China and now teaches acupuncture seminars focused on neurological rehabilitation.
