The International School of Acupuncture (I.S.A.) is a proud subgroup of the Hellenic Non-Profit Corporation of Chinese Medicine (H.C.C.M.), an official member of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS).

At I.S.A., we are dedicated to advancing the field of acupuncture through accredited training programs specifically designed for healthcare professionals. Our courses are meticulously tailored to meet the needs of Physical Therapists (PTs), Medical Doctors (MDs), Osteopaths (DOs), Chiropractors (DCs), Nurses (RNs), and Midwives (CPMs).

Our training follows the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and is exclusively offered to healthcare professionals.

Clinical practice sessions will be conducted at our clinics in Athens, Greece. We also offer sessions in Belgrade, Serbia, and Johannesburg, South Africa, contingent upon meeting a minimum enrolment threshold.

* Additional practical classes can be arranged throughout the course at no extra cost. From May 24th to June 1st 2025, students have the unique opportunity to participate in clinical practice at prestigious university hospitals in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shandong. This exclusive experience comes with an additional fee of €1100, excluding travel and accommodation expenses.

Pain Management and Musculoskeletal Health Excellence

Our program includes acupuncture for musculoskeletal health and pain management. It is designed for healthcare professionals such as doctors, physical therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, and other health practitioners who wish to incorporate acupuncture into their modern clinical practice. Participants will acquire essential skills for effective assessment, safe practice, and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and pain management using acupuncture.

The curriculum covers the diagnostic and therapeutic principles of Asian Medicine, along with the mechanisms of action and the neurobiological and biochemical responses elicited by acupuncture in the body.

Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP)

Our program is accredited by the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) in the UK. Graduates who are physiotherapists will have the opportunity to register with the AACP upon completion of the course, should they wish to do so.

Channel Palpation Diagnosis

According to the World Health Organisation and Chapter 26 of the ICD-11, Asian Medicine is recognised as traditional medicine. Our program honours this tradition in acupuncture, recognising its unique effectiveness when practiced authentically. Accurate diagnosis is paramount before the application of acupuncture, and channel diagnosis is the most reliable method for acupuncturists.

The International School of Acupuntucre, in collaboration with the Institute of Applied Channel Theory, imparts time-tested knowledge spanning centuries. This ensures the effective practice of acupuncture, grounded in proven traditions.
