Clinical Practice

Continuous Assessment and Excellence

Practical work is continuously assessed in a clinical context to ensure that all students develop excellence in professional practice. Clinical education is supported by direct supervision—either live online or in-person—helping students to reflect, deliberate, and apply critical thinking and clinical reasoning during their training.

Clinical Practice – Online & In-Person Options

For students enrolled in the online program, clinical training is delivered through:

  • Live interactive online sessions during the course, with real-time supervision and case discussions.

  • An in-person clinical intensive at the end of the program, conducted at one of our partner clinics.

The main in-person clinical practice takes place in Athens, Greece (airfare and accommodation not included).

However, if more than 10 students are enrolled from a particular country, we aim to organize local clinical practice sessions in Serbia, Malta, or South Africa, offering convenience without compromising educational quality.

Enhanced Supervision and Clinical Training

Supervision is provided by experienced teachers and clinical supervisors specialising in acupuncture and Asian Medicine.

Our clinical supervisors ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while providing comprehensive training to students. They continuously monitor and support students, enhancing their interactions with patients and developing their diagnostic skills and therapeutic techniques in accordance with Asian Medicine principles.

Under the close supervision of our faculty, students are able to apply acupuncture alongside other therapeutic methods, either on fellow acupuncture trainees or real patients. This hands-on experience is invaluable for building confidence and proficiency in a real-world clinical setting.

Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TUTCM)

Located in Tianjin, China, the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TUTCM) is a prestigious member of the World Class Chinese Medicine University Consortium.

Founded in 1958, TUTCM is one of the first higher education institutions dedicated to Chinese medicine in China. The university boasts the largest botanical garden for Chinese medicine in the country, the most advanced scientific and technological park for Chinese medicine, and the International Education Center for Chinese Medicine.

TUTCM comprises 12 colleges, 4 academic departments, 2 research institutes, and 7 affiliated hospitals. Additionally, the university has its own academic publications that disseminate its research and findings, contributing significantly to the field of Chinese medicine.

Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SDUTCM), established in 1958, is a leading institution in China, recognised as a key state construction TCM higher-learning institute and a prominent university in Shandong Province. The Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) is a major state institution for higher education in medicine and pharmacology, serving as Vietnam’s cultural, scientific, and technical center for medicine.
